This usually consists of an angled cut to the vertical or horizontal end of the cladding or capping and is therefore regarded as an edging detail for sandstone projects.
The Bevelled Sandstone Finish
Another terminology also used to describe the Chamfer Sandstone Finish is a “Bevelled” Sandstone Finish. Chamfer and Bevel are interchangeable descriptors.
A Bevelled Edge is quite simply a sloping surface; used as edging this gives the appearance of a framed edge to sandstone products.

The Sandstone Margin Edge is a boutique product with a hand-tooled, chiselled margin finish. It is used to’ dress’ a sandstone product and is sometimes referred to as a ‘drafted margin’ or ‘margin draft’.
Traditionally these Margins are ‘cut’ or installed an inch or so (two and a half centimetres) from the edge or a Sandstone Block or any other sandstone product, particularly for Sandstone Cladding, Sandstone Quoins and Sandstone Capping details.
