How Do You Create A Hydrasplit Sandstone Finish?
There are usually four main processes applied at the production stage of sandstone processing to create a Hydrasplit Sandstone Finish, regardless of the sandstone product.
These are:
- Raw quarried blocks are “slabbed” into desired thicknesses (50mm/75mm/100mm/150mm/200-500mm) on our large primary Diamond saws.
- The slabs are trimmed to the desired block, and cladding or capping sizes are required using smaller secondary diamond saws.
- The trimmed stone is then hydraulically machine split, exposing the natural “Hydrasplit” face of the stone.
This process creates a beautiful, natural aesthetic look for solid walling, cladding, capping, edging, and stair treads.
